The U. S. Postal Service appears to be increasingly disorganized and in disarray, and perhaps its no accident, as profiteers want it privatized and own it.

The United States is Going Through

an unprecedented period of change in all of our institutions, including the USPS

W e all take for granted certain things in life, like there will be air to breathe when we wake up in the morning…

We also take for granted our mail will be delivered, safe and sound, and that we can take for granted we can send and receive checks, documents, and packages to one another and they will get there.

But our air is polluted, our water is polluted, and despite having almost 7,000 USPS employees earning a median income of $71,000 a year, if you try to call someone at your local Post Office, no one will answer. If you try to reach your local Postmaster, they won’t answer or return your messages. If you file a request or complaint, it will not be acknowledged or addressed, and if you need to ship a piece of needed medical equipment from Rochester MN to south Florida, where every Post Office in Florida says you can ship it Ground Advantage and purchase an additional service of REGISTERED and select to insure it for the Declared Value of $20,000, if you want to ship it to Rochester MN, you can do that for around $300, but the USPS in Rochester says you have to spend about $1,000 to send it to Florida by air.

The Post office is reportedly in debt some $16 billion, but this kind of marketing is not the way to underhandedly make up the difference, especially since the USPS has many employees earning hundreds of thousands of dollars a year.

YOU SHOULDN’T HAVE TO FILE A FEDERAL LAWSUIT to mail a package as the USPS advertises you can, or to fire USPS employees that are not answering their telephones or refusing to respond to issues, problems, and complaints, or to stop them from committing fraud and correct out of control management, oversight, Fraud, Waste, and Abuse, and prevent the United States Postal Service from disappearing into the woodwork and into the hands of mega-rich campaign contributors.

While Senator Ashley Moody has taken an active interest in getting to the bottom of the problems, Senator Rick Scott, who touts himself as having the best citizens’ services of any U.S. Senator has conspicuously refused to get involved, or stood back hoping someone else would address it.

Back in the 1960, Thomas Heinrich became outraged at the racial discrimination occurring in his real estate and mortgage profession and decided to do something about it, producing a documentary with Taylor Hackford and pressuring California’s legislature to outlaw it, which they did ( the word Redlining was coined in Heinrich’s office when the representative for the largest Savings & Loan in California took a red marking pen Heinrich gave him and went street by street where they would no longer make loans in the greater Pasadena area where Heinrich lived and worked.

Now Heinrich has sued the USPS. Will it help correct the problems at the USPS ?
